LAND MANAGEMENT
The Land Management Committee consists of five elected members and the Land Manager, acting as the Chair. During the 2008 election, the newly elected members will hold a six year term.
The Land Management committee was formed to protect the McLeod Lake Indian Band's interest in our reserve lands and manage our natural resources. Their mandate is to create laws which would govern our physical lands and control our community's structural development.
McLeod Lake Indian Band's total land base is 17,506.2 square hectares divided among 8 sites: McLeod Lake Indian Reserve Number 1, McLeod Lake Indian Reserve Number 5, Sas Mighe Indian Reserve, Mackenzie Indian Reserve, Weston Indian Reserve, Finlay Bay Reserve, Wheedon Carp Lake Indian Reserve, and the Bear Lake Indian Reserve.
