BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board members are elected to administrate the Treaty 8 Trust fund, currently held through the Royal Bank of Canada. With over $35 million in the Trust, McLeod Lake Indian Band continuously applies yearly for funding to pay office administrations department funding, funding for youth and elders activities, among other expenses of running our tribe.
Our current Board of Trustees members were elected on June 06, 2005, in accordance with our Revised 2001 Custom Election Code, in a democratic process using a ballot election procedure administered by an appointed Elections Officer.
Elected members of our Board of Trustees are elected every 3 years.
Our next election will be held June, 2011.
